This a simple white oyster stew recipe.
1 pint oysters with liquor
1 stick butter
1 cup fish stock or chicken stock
1 medium onion, chopped
1 potato, diced
3/4 cup dry white wine
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 tsp. parsley
- Simmer the butter, stock, wine, and vegetables until the vegetables begin to get tender.
- Add the oysters and cream, and simmer until the edges of the oysters curl.
- Garnish with parsley when done.
