Opilio crab are the smallest variety, with an average weight of 1 to 1 1/2 pounds. Opilio crabs are found in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
Tanner crab are larger, weighing 2 – 4 pounds when mature. Tanner crabs are found in the Bering Sea and North Pacific.
Snow crabs are available pre-cooked, frozen, ready to heat and serve.
Snow crabs are smaller than but otherwise similar to king crabs.
