Oyster Stew with Onion and White Wine

an easy oyster stew recipe

Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10
Cook Time: 20

Ingredients:
1 pint oysters and liquor
1 stick butter
1 large onion, coursely chopped
2/3 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup flour
1 can chicken stock
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp whole parsley
salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:
Combine 1/2 stick butter, onion and wine in a saucepan, simmering until the onions are



softened (3-5 minutes). Set aside.



In a second saucepan simmer 1/2 stick butter and flour for one minute, then slowly add the stock, cooked onions, salt and pepper and stir. Next add the oysters, cream simmer slowly until the oysters begin to curl. Garnish with parsley.
