Delaware is unique, with ports along the Atlantic Coast as well as the Delaware Bay. Delaware seafood is dominated by shellfish landings, the most important being crabs, oysters and clams which are harvested in the Delaware Bay or coastal estuaries.

Shellfish from the Atlantic Ocean are also landed in Delaware ports including lobsters, hard clams, ocean quahogs, surf clams and sea scallops.

Several species of saltwater fish that are landed in Delaware ports including striped bass, black sea bass, Atlantic croaker, flounder, weakfish and spot.
