The ocean perch, or Acadian redfish is a small, deep sea fish found in the northwestern Atlantic. Ocean perch are often processed and frozen at sea, which produces high quality fillets and other products.

Reddish-orange in color, ocean perch are also known as Labrador redfish. This deep water species is sometimes confused with the redfish or red drum of the South Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.

In Canada, ocean perch are landed in the Maritimes Region. In the USA, ocean perch are landed in New England.
